Drunk Elephant's Power Duo

TLC Sukari Babyfacial weekly resurfacing mask and a-passioni retinol cream by Drunk Elephant on pink flowers and roses on a marble background

Happy Monday Friends in cursive

I have yet another Drunk Elephant skincare review for you all today!

I wanted to talk about two of their products that deserve some serious recognition.

For the past 5+ years I've struggled with acne, plus acne-scarring, redness, dullness + uneven skin tone. I have tried countless cleansers, spot treatments, and masks to help any of these issues.

I was eager to try these two products after using The Littles set and I'm so glad I did! To learn more about the products and my personal experience with them, keep on reading!

**Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before trying any of these products. This post contains no affiliate links and is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. These products were given as gifts for my birthday from my boyfriend.

↪ A-PassioniRetinol Cream

To dramatically diminish fine lines, deep wrinkles, and sun damage to reveal a younger appearance while helping with uneven skin tone + texture.

I personally haven’t experienced peeling or irritation while using this product so far. After one or two uses I noticed a dramatic overall improvement to the texture/firmness to my skin. Containing 1% vegan retinol, I started once a week then slowly worked my way up to every night. Now I use it everynight (besides when I'm using their mask) in combination with the TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. The next morning my skin always feels like new.

→ Important note: when you purchase this product - do not squeeze the middle of the tube. If after opening the product and nothing comes out, apply a very light pressure to the top. Not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The inside packaging is in foil rather than plastic to keep the ingredients properly preserved but doesn’t have the same give that plastic does. This is why it’s so important to not apply pressure to the middle of the tube. Otherwise, every-time you open the cap the product will ooze out uncontrollably.

*Drunk Elephant suggests mixing the retinol with their B-Hyda™ to add extra hydration & vitamin B.

Would I repurchase this product again? Absolutely. I have noticed the biggest improvement in my skins texture, hyper-pigmentation, and fine lines.

↪ T.L.C Sakari Babyfacial

A weekly resurfacing mask to remove dull skin and reveal clear + improved skin texture and tone.

Sold only in the US due to containing 25% AHA / 2% BHA Mix - this is truly an “at-home facial”. Containing 5 different acids to gently remove the layer of dead skin cells. If your using their TLC Glycolic Night Serum every night, you would use this mask in place of the serum of the evening.

→ A few precautions: I would highly suggest not use this product if you have had no previous experience with chemical defoliators - especially with the potency of the active ingredients. (Unless your receiving a treatment by a board-certified professional.) Not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

I used the TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum for at least week (contains 12% AHA/BHA blend) before trying this product and it was still too strong. I highly suggest working your way up to this mask. If you don't, you would probably fry your face off. For the first two-three uses I was only leaving it on for 10-15 minutes at most. A month and a half later, I can finally use the mask at the full 20 minutes and the tingling has substantially subsided. This will of course be different for every person depending on their tolerance.

Drunk Elephant highly suggests after using this mask, to follow with their Virgin Marula Facial Oil for best results. Or you can use whatever facial oil works best for you.

After using both of these products for over a month, I don't know if I could ever be without this powerful duo.

Is it worth spending $74 on their A-Passioni Retinol Cream and $80 for their TLC Sukari Babyfacial? YES - EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.
