Emerald CBD by Herbivore | Is It Worth It?
It's been awhile, again.
I know, I've been the worst at maintaining an upload schedule. But I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of finding and expressing what I truly like to create.
Long story short, I'm finally on track to upload M/W/F. If your wanting to see more of my day-to-day activities you can check out my instagram.

I want to quickly explain why this post is incredibly late.
I originally filmed this on April 12th and edited that video until the 15th. As I was about 80% finished I ran into a huge hiccup. Somehow the audio files became corrupted, causing audio from another clip to replace sections over the original. Since the originals were corrupted, I had to begin yet again.
I re-filmed and began editing. As life gets in the way, I wasn't able to finish the video until yesterday.

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive, non-intoxicating component of the Cannabis plant known for its soothing effects on the skin. The CBD oil in Emerald CBD is full-spectrum and organically grown in Colorado.
Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, rich in Omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, Gamma Linolenic acids and Vitamin E, is a non-comedogenic oil that moisturizes the complexion, soothes visible redness and irritation while preventing visible signs of aging.
Ashwagandha and Turmeric Root both stem from Ayurvedic healing practices and help the skin cope with environmental stressors like pollution, UV rays, lack of sleep, daily stress, and more. Shiitake Mushroom is loaded with Vitamin D to support healthy skin and prevent premature signs of aging.
Helichrysum Essential Oil is highly effective for soothing signs of irritation, this miraculous essential oil grants your senses peace and tranquility with its light herbal aroma.
Squalane, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Borage Seed Oil are a trio of hydrating beauty oils that ensure the skin is high on glow and all-day moisture.
(Squalane is identical to our bodies own oil making it non-non-comedgenic, Meadowfoam seed oil keeps the moisture locked in, while Borage seed oil calms and heals.)
MY EXPERIENCE USING THE EMERALD CBD OIL
I started using the oil on March 15th. Within a few days of using it, I could notice an improvement on the redness in my face. I've now been using the oil for over a month and I'm still really enjoying the oil.
It reminds me of the Drunk Elephants Marula Oil due to it feeling non-greasy on the skin.
Now for this being a $58 bottle of facial oil, is it worth it?
In my honest opinion, yes and no.
In the YouTube video I state that I love the oil, which I truly do. Could I live without it? Yes. I was really excited in the first few days because I could see it working so well, but I wasn't taking into account the retinol I had been using.
After stepping back on the retinol I was still noticing an improvement, but not like before. The Emerald CBD oil is cheaper than if I were to purchase 1 oz. of the Marula Oil by Drunk Elephant.
THERE ARE TWO ATTRIBUTES YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF
1) The CBD smell is strong (which is a good thing) but I was a little surprised how strong it was when first opening the bottle. It's not as strong now (a month later) or I've gotten used to the smell.
2) It contains Fractionated Coconut Oil. It's a version of coconut oil that has had it's long-chain fatty acids removed. I read online reviews from others stating they broke out from this product. If you are sensitive to coconut oil, I would avoid this oil or use with caution.
In all honesty, I enjoy this oil and I may repurchase this product in the future. I'm going to finish the bottle and see how my skin has improved over time. As of this moment, I'm still on the fence. I feel like I would have been just as happy purchasing another oil but I still want to give the CBD more time.
My skin also hasn't been at it's best due to being severely dehydrated and not getting enough water. Plus oil can only go so deep, if you aren't drinking enough water its going to show.
