Grandma's Apple Pie
Lately I've been craving sweets and the one dessert I haven't had this season is a good old-fashioned apple pie. Since I don't have a personal apple pie recipe I thought I would share one that I found online.
I felt like I connected with the recipe. It was originally by a little old lady (she was 4'11) and with the simple ingredients it reminded me of a recipe my own grandmother would use. (She was also 4'11 and a wonderful cook).
Click here for the original recipe from MOSHASMAMA at allrecipes.com.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a name or website of the original creator besides the page from All Recipes.
The only things I changed to the recipe were:
-I used frozen Marie Calendar Pie Crusts for convenience
-Also used 4-5 Jazz apples instead (my pie was smaller than the original recipe so I didn't need as many apples)
-Added cinnamon, nutmeg & allspice
*I would add either egg or butter to coat the top of the pie.
If I were to make this recipe again - I would slightly reduce to amount of spices used.
I hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you all soon!
Until next time,
