My Winter Must-Haves

Happy New Years Eve Everyone!

Now that were almost two weeks into winter - we still have many months ahead of warm sweaters, thick coats, and knit hats & mittens. With that being said, I wanted to share a list of items that would be great staple pieces to any wardrobe and will continue to be a classic for years to come.

The items I will be showing you are from companies that I would personally purchase from and trust their quality to uphold the daily wear. I personally find it very frustrating when you purchase a clothing item only to have it destroyed after one wear + wash.

I have always been a quality over quantity person. I would rather invest in pieces that will last years than something that will only last a season. As long as you are gentle and take care of your items, you will be surprised how long they last you! This is my own personal taste and I understand it will not be for everyone.

I have included links to these items in the description under the photos.

Teddy Jacket

Also known also the Sherpa, this is probably been one of my favorite items this winter so far. They are super cozy while also perfect for really any day of the year. I have also found cardigan version of the Sherpa jacket which also looks incredible. Plus you can layer which is a bonus!

Long Wool Coat

I already have a navy colored peacoat jacket but I would also love one in white, black or plaid just as another great staple to my wardrobe. They are another great jacket to layer (now that I live in a colder climate I can understand the important of a warm & heavy duty coat)

Knit Sweaters

A staple in any wardrobe and can be worn just about anytime of the year. I like to have a variety of sweaters for different purposes. (lightweight, chunky, turtleneck, etc.) Since I'm into more simplistic style, I typically purchase them in neutral colors since they will match my other items in my closet. I do however, like to indulge in rich or pastel colors such as oxblood red, moss green, lapis blue, and pastel pink or purple. It's good to throw in pieces of color - especially if your like me and love black.

Thermal Tops

If you live in a cold climate or go to the mountains often, you know how important it is to invest in a quality thermal. They are great for layering, plus with their ribbed texture they are a perfect addition to your closet for the winter season. For someone who is always freezing - these are a lifesaver! I wanted to share two for street-wear and for outdoor wear.

Plaid Pants

These have been around for awhile but I’ve recently been loving some of the styles of these types of pants. I’m normally a jeans and tee kinda girl, but I’ve been wanting to invest in a pair of plaid pants! I love the way they add a pop to your everyday outfits and they pair great with a simple top or sweater. These aren’t

just for the winter - you can really wear these anytime of year depending where you live.

Faux Leather Leggings

Another piece that has been around for quite some time but is always a classic that never goes out of style (in my own opinion). I have had my one pair for several years and they have withheld the daily wear but unfortunately they have always been a tad too big. I’ve been on the hunt for ones that are more tailored to petite styles since I have a smaller body frame. Below I have included some of my favorites that have raving reviews online.

Over The Knee Boots

These boots have been on my wish-list for quite some time. They are another great addition to your wardrobe if you don’t already own a pair. They can be dressed up for down - worn with leggings and an over-sized top/sweater, jeans & a nice blouse or a dress. Some of my favorites are typically suede or in a similar texture.

I hope you all liked seeing a different kind of article and I'm looking forward to sharing more of these types of posts with you all!
